Cards, Badges, and Whatnots

During the campaign a number of artifacts, badges, postcards, fridge magnets and other things were produced to sell and raise the funds for the campaign and to promote a little William Morris in the world at large.


The mug never actually made it passed the prototype. Based on a lino cut featuring the "fellowship is life slogan and motifs from the "Commonweal".
Our first post card, designed by Alke Schmidt bearing the quotation from Morris "I do not want art for a few, any more than I want education for a few or freedom for a few". Perhaps we could have added "museums for a few".
Our second postcard, commemorating the councils ability to close that which is useful and build in its place that which is ugly.
Designed by Paul Bommer, a beautiful card with another fine quote from Morris "not on one strand are all life's jewels strung", also available as a badge and fridge magnet.
"Fellowship is Life" with a picture of Morris,( No wm06), and "Lack of Fellowship is Death" with a Pasada image,( No wm05), both on a background of a Morris print on a 25mm diameter badge, also available os fridge magnets.
"Fellowship is life, lack of fellowship is death", the famous quote form Morris that is the motto of the London Borough of Waltham Forest and emblazoned around the town hall, all on a 38mm square badge,( No wm07), also available as a fridge magnet.
Two 25mm diameter badges for Williams birthday celebrations, both bear his nickname "Topsy", from the volume of hair on his head, one shows him as a young man,( No wm09), the other when he was older,(No wm10), both are available as fridge magnets.
