Inspired by William Morris

For the second year we are holding the "Inspired by William Morris Exhibition", from the 15th to the 22nd of September to celebrate the life and influence of William Morris, in the Changing Room Gallery, at the back of Lloyd Park. We are looking for work in all disciplines, and we are making some frames specifically to hold stained glass/ transparent artwork to take advantage of the wonderful, large, windows at the gallery. We want to build on last years very successful exhibition in Wood Street and to be as divers as we possibly can in the media we exhibit, from wall paper to sculpture, prints to furniture.

Show us how William Morris has impacted on your life, his art, his design, philosophy of art, his politics.

He was a man of many talents which encompassed most aspects of life, so on the Saturday we want to hold a music and words session, all you poets and singers get busy and we can party in the park.

The exhibition will give priority to those living or working in the borough so get in early and let me know of your intention to submit work, or to get further information, by e-mailing; exhibition@antiscrap.co.uk . Entries have to be ready for hanging by Sunday the 14th of September. Tell your friends, tell everyone.
